Shop Hop is over so it must be Christmas time.

I want to thank all of the shop hoppers this year. We had a great time and it seemed as though you did too. I want to thank those of you that stopped at the store for having us on your list of shops at which to hop. We enjoyed visiting with you and hope that you enjoyed your visit with us. Come back and see us again.

I took a little vacation after shop hop and visited lots of country we hadn't ever been to before and visited a few quilt shops I had never been to before. I got back and had to catch up with everything that piled up while I was gone and I finally have our Holiday fabric all checked in and ready for you to check out. There is one Halloween line from Northcott called "Scary Night". It goes with the "Scary Night" line we had last year. We should have another Halloween line in later this month. There are quite a few Hoffman Christmas fabrics, all in the traditional look and we have a line from Clothworks called "Birds and Berries", a very nice Winter look. Moda has a line called "12 Days of Christmas" with a more modern feel and last I have a cute flannel from Northcott called "Marching Snowmen". There will be more coming in over the next month or so, so keep checking with us.

We have moved our HQ18 to the back of the store by the windows so now you get a view while you prepare your quilt for quilting. We did this to give us more room for classes and to allow us to have quilters and classes at the same time. Before there was too much noise from the quilting machine that it was hard to have classes and groups in at the same time. Our next project is to book more classes with more room for 8 students instead of just 4. If you have thoughts about what kinds of classes you would like to take, send me an email and let me know. I am working with the gentleman who keeps us supplied with Superior thread to give an intermediate class on the HQ18. He'll be talking about the thtreads and how they work together on the quilting machine and a little work on structured freehand quilting. I'll let you know when those classes will be when I get more information from him.

Remember we have Lonestar and Mariner's Compass classes. Just call up to get your name on the list and Christina will set a date when she has enough students.

Janey will be on vacation in August but will pick up her Wednesday HQ18 classes when she gets back.

Nancy Altman has been teaching a new way of foundation paper pieceing that makes using the paper much easier. If you are intereseted, call us and get your name on the list so we can get her to come back. Come in and see the sample of the class project.
